Sodexo Names Gerri Mason Hall as Chief Diversity and Sustainability Officer for the Americas

GAITHERSBURG, Md., Sept. 2, 2019 -- Sodexo announced today Gerri Mason Hall’s appointment as Chief Diversity and Sustainability Officer for the Americas.

“Gerri brings vast knowledge and experience to her new role, and a long history as an advocate on social issues. I look forward to her continued leadership as we advance our mission into 2025 and beyond, building on Sodexo’s long-standing commitment to diversity, inclusion and sustainability,” said Sarosh Mistry, Chair, Sodexo North America.

Through Sodexo’s Better Tomorrow 2025 roadmap, Sodexo commits to supporting small and local businesses, fighting hunger, reducing waste and minimizing our carbon footprint, while fostering an inclusive workplace, including women’s empowerment and gender balance.

Today, women represent 50 percent of Sodexo’s board and 30 percent of its Group senior executives. By 2025, Sodexo’s goal is to increase the number of women in leadership roles by 40 percent and boost equality in facilities management.

Gerri Mason HallGerri most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer for North America. She joined the organization in 2006 and has helped transform the human resources function in North America. Gerri has also served as Vice President of Human Resources for Sodexo’s Corporate Services and Government segments, where she led the development and implementation of the human resources strategies including talent management, executive development and organizational design to drive the organization’s business plan.

Gerri is a member of the UNCF Board and sits on its Audit Committee. She is also Chair of Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Foundation and a board member of SodexoMAGIC, a joint venture between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo. Most recently, she was named to Black Enterprise’s Most Powerful Women in Corporate America and Savoy’s Magazine’s Most Influential Corporate Executives.

Gerri is a graduate of Vassar College and the George Washington University National Law Center. She is also actively involved in her community, with a special focus on organizations that advance girls and women of color.
