Sodexo honours top suppliers in 2019 Vendor Partner Awards

BURLINGTON, November 7, 2019 – Sodexo Canada has announced Danone Canada, High Liner Foods, Kilo Solution, Kimberly-Clark Corp., and Sabert Corporation as recipients of this year’s Sodexo Vendor Partner Awards. The annual program honours top suppliers whose products, services and values help drive Sodexo’s mission to improve quality of life for customers and their communities.

“We work with hundreds of outstanding vendors across the country. They are an extension of our values and our operations,” says Sandra Jackson, Senior Director Supply Management, Sodexo Canada. “It’s an honour for us to recognize the exemplary contributions of our top partners.”  

Sodexo Canada handed out Vendor Partner Awards in four categories this year:

Better Tomorrow 2025 Award recognises partners that drive Sodexo’s corporate responsibility vision

Danone Canada, Boucherville, QC

Incorporated as a public benefit corporation and certified as a B Corporation – which denotes the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability – Danone uses business for good. It produces food products with reduced or no added sugars. It also implements a cleaner ingredient list and supports sustainable programs including post-consumer plastics recycling and regenerative agriculture. 

Sabert Corporation, Sayreville, N.J.

A leader in food packaging, Sabert implements numerous reduction initiatives,. The firm opened a full-service plastics recycling plant, converted to geothermal energy at its headquarters, and installed solar panels at five of its eight facilities. Sabert has been instrumental in developing more sustainable packaging options for Sodexo’s Simply To-Go program.

Strategic Diverse Vendor Partner of the Year Award recognises an exemplary partner that is owned by a women or under-represented group

Kilo Solution, Verdun, QC

Nutrition expert Isabelle Huot launched Kilo Solution to help overweight Quebecers. With a team of nutritionists, kinesiologists and psychologists, this women-owned certified business delivers snacks and services that help people maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Huot is also actively involved in Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Foundation. 

Facilities Maintenance or Service Equipment and Supplies Award recognises an outstanding partner who delivers services, equipment or supplies to enhance Sodexo operations

Kimberly-Clark Corp., Mississauga,ON  

Kimberly-Clark has been a valuable Sodexo partner in environmental services since 2005, working collaboratively with our regional purchasing managers, distributors and operators. A number of Kimberly-Clark initiatives at Sodexo client sites have resulted in significant cost-savings and improved operational and regulatory compliance. Year after year, Kimberly-Clark supports Sodexo events and initiatives.

High Liner Foods,Lunenburg, NS

High Liner Foods has been a Sodexo vendor partner for two decades, delivering innovative products that have created excitement within the seafood industry and strengthened consumer loyalty. The High Liner team is always responsive and proactive in evaluating and improving existing seafood portfolio.
