Healthy Places + Happy People = The Dynamic Workplace Experience

Employee well-being and productivity are at a critical juncture with nearly half of employees reporting burnout and global employee engagement at just 21%. In Canada, a survey of 891 people conducted by Sodexo Canada and Leger indicate that the majority of employed Canadians feel positively about their well-being at work, with 58% rating their physical and mental health as good or excellent. Still, 3 in 10 Canadians describe their overall well-being as only fair, while 1 in 10 report it as poor or very poor.

Productivity growth has also been stagnant for over a decade, compelling organizations to reassess what drives resilience and performance for their workforce.

Healthy Places + Happy People = The Dynamic Workplace Experience

Our global whitepaper ‘Healthy places + happy people = the dynamic workplace experience’ evaluates the strong correlation between employee health, happiness, and business success. Exploring how, when combined, well-designed workplaces and people-centric services create better environments which support both performance and well-being.

This whitepaper was created in collaboration with International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and SHAPE Global.

What makes a healthy workplace? Factors such as lighting, noise, food, water, and clean air all have an impact. IWBI’s WELL Building Standard sets the benchmark, and case studies show getting these factors right can be effective in reducing sick leave as well as improving satisfaction and productivity.
