Sodexo Recognized as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2025
April 22, 2024 – Sodexo Canada has again been named on the Canada’s Greenest Employers thanks to several prominent programs innovated by the enterprise. Reasons why Sodexo Canada has earned this recognition include:
- An ongoing partnership with Bullfrog Power that ensures their Canada offices are powered with green electricity and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in a priority.
- Food waste reduction efforts continuing to perform beyond 2025 target with the Waste Watch by Leanpath program in operations across Canada.
- In-house waste management training, programs and services that work with clients to help reduce costs and consumption.
- Introduction of new national partners, systems, and technologies for reusability and contribution to the circular economy.
- Sodexo Canada locations across the country participate in extended recycling programs such as e-waste, cooking oil for reuse, reduction use of single-use plastics, coffee grinds for gardens, and cellphones. Additionally, the company works with suppliers and employees to reduce and manage packaging, energy, and water consumption in all areas.
WasteLess Week and Earth Day are Sodexo Canada’s week-long engagement campaigns that raise awareness and encourage consumers, community members and employees to action waste reduction activities in the workplace. With an ever-growing list of community partnerships such as National Zero Waste Council, Second Harvest, La Tablée des Chefs, and ZipGrow, and training modules and workshops like Forward Food, and Climate Fresk, Sodexo Canada’s efforts towards a sustainable world are considerable.
Sodexo Canada accepts this recognition with honour and looks forward to continuing the good work of creating a better everyday for everyone.
