Sodexo Canada receives Canadian Workplace Well-Being Award

Montreal, QC, November 5, 2025 – Today, Sodexo Canada receives a Canadian Workplace Well-Being Award (CWWA), presented by the Canadian Positive Psychology Association (CPPA). Recognizing its unwavering commitment to employee well-being, this achievement highlights the company’s collective efforts to support its diverse and decentralized workforce, the positive impact it is having, and the new standards it is setting for its industry in Canada.
“As a people business, taking care of our employees at Sodexo ultimately means taking care of our clients and consumers. It’s a virtuous cycle,” says Marie-Agnes Mazas, Vice-President, Human Resources at Sodexo Canada. “The initiatives we have launched and sustained, like our prevention program against Gender-Based Violence, showcases our commitment to safety, inclusion, and wellness in meaningful and measurable ways.”

Recognizing the heightened risks in remote work environments, especially for women, Indigenous employees, and other marginalized groups, Sodexo launched a site-specific program to raise awareness of Gender-Based Violence and improve safety. The pilot program’s success—reflected in improved safety perceptions and strong feedback—has led to its expansion across multiple sites.

This and many other initiatives reflect Sodexo’s belief that well-being is not one-size-fits-all. It’s a continuous, responsive effort to meet people where they are. By embedding respect, care, and psychological safety into our everyday practices, the company is creating a workplace where every individual can thrive and collectively succeed.

The CPPA is a non-profit organization that gives out the annual award to recognize companies for their dedicated and innovative efforts in enhancing the well-being of their employees. Now in its fifth year, the awards celebrate positive psychology in action and recognize the many champions of workplace well-being. Each winning company has supported workers in a way that has positively impacted their lives and demonstrates the importance of fostering a caring culture where your employees flourish.
