  • Time with Sodexo: 10 years
  • Location: Ontario
  • Segment: Corporate Service
  • Role: General Manager

Lisa has been with Sodexo for over 10 years. As a General Manager of one of our Corporate Services clients, she oversees different areas of the operation, including finding innovative ways to ensure sustainability on site.

“For me, sustainability is about doing what I can do now so that the future generations can continue to live as we do now, if not better.”

As part of her commitment to sustainability, she has implemented the WasteWatch powered by LeanPath (WWxLP) program on-site – Sodexo’s global program to prevent and reduce food waste by allowing staff to track food waste in real time.

Since implementing the program in 2018, the two trackers in her unit have

  • Prevented 35,609 KG of food waste
  • Helped avoid 248 metric tons of CO2
  • Saved the equivalent of 65,420 meals
  • Conserved the equivalent of 874,688 bathtubs of water

She is one of our Sustainability Champions, both on-site and at home. As Sodexo’s General Manager, she sees her role as promoting sustainability, encouraging resource use and leading by example to help her colleagues do the same.

“I believe that if you really want to do something, especially if it’s a sustainable initiative, you have to support it as much as possible and do whatever it takes to make it happen. At the end of the day, any sustainable initiative will outweigh any challenges or obstacles that may come with it.”
