Burlington, Ontario October 21, 2021 – Students in need of convenient, healthy food will be able to take advantage of a wide range of meals through an exclusive partnership between Sodexo Canada and HelloFresh, announced today.

Sodexo’s higher education food services equip students with the knowledge and food experiences that fuel academic and athletic performance alike, inspiring greatness in the classroom and on the field. To empower students who are transitioning to off-campus living, Sodexo carefully monitored trends, looking for the best way to support a sustainable and nutritious lifestyle. This exclusive partnership with HelloFresh will provide students who are no longer in residence the long-term support they need to transition into cooking healthy for themselves.

Ingredients in the meal kits are pre-portioned and ready to cook, eliminating the need for students to buy additional supplies. HelloFresh provides more than 30 recipes to choose from each week, in addition to add-on products such as pre-made lunches ideal for busy days on campus. Students who are no longer in residence or on campus can benefit from the healthy, quick meal kits.

We are excited to partner with HelloFresh Canada, said Martin Lapointe, Senior Vice President of Sodexo Operations. We prioritize enriching our students and faculty’s food and dining experiences to empower students to learn more about food and nutrition, to make better food choices while enjoying the convenience of high-quality meals. HelloFresh is the perfect meal kit provider, and this program can offer students the opportunity to re-imagine food with easy cooking recipes and give them a rewarding experience.

Sodexo is taking steps to be more sustainable and reduce its carbon footprint. From providing healthy food options to promoting the well-being of our consumers and communities, sustainability is a major part of Sodexo’s commitment to a global positive impact. HelloFresh provides the only carbon neutral meal kit in the world. From Newfoundland to British Columbia, HelloFresh delivers to 95% of Canadians and sources locally wherever possible.

We are excited to partner with Sodexo to bring our HelloFresh and Chefs Plate meal kits to University campuses across Canada, said HelloFresh Canada CEO and Founder, Ian Brooks.  Our meal kits give students a way to enjoy delicious, home cooked meals with high-quality ingredients. Students are short on time, interested in discovering new and exciting foods, and HelloFresh and Chefs Plate meal kits are a unique and affordable solution to their needs.

With a commitment to sustainable and affordable quality foods, this partnership with HelloFresh supports Sodexo’s mission to improve and preserve the quality of life of university students across Canada.
