Our Commitment to Carbon Emission Reduction
Sodexo Canada is continuing its trajectory to surpass our goal of reducing our carbon footprint by 34% by 2025. Since 2017, we have consistently reduced our fuel emissions (scope 1), our direct electricity usage emissions (scope 2) and our supply chain emissions (scope 3).
Our Approach to Responsible Sourcing
Identifying and providing local sourcing information within our supply chain has been key to our ongoing partnerships with local and small businesses. In 2023, we increased our responsible sourcing spend for local and small and medium-sized enterprises by $8.4 million.
Supporting Sodexo Canada’s Stop Hunger Foundation
In 2023, our employees volunteered more than 3,900 hours and donated more than $60,500 in total to Sodexo Canada’s Stop Hunger Foundation to tackle food insecurity in their communities.
Our Community Impact
In 2023, the Sodexo Canada Stop Hunger Foundation donated more than $300,000 to not-for-profit food security organizations across Canada.
